Resistance is futile!  Hey, welcome to my web site. I'm a techno geek who's been immersed in computers and the Internet for decades now. These days I develop commercial PHP/MySQL applications for both work and hobby pursuits. Please note, in the not too distant past I was running an anti-spam site, but the resource usage and malicious joe-jobbing of spammers led me towards other interests (a remnant is here).

Career Highlights
One of the greatest accomplishments of my career was with Cisco Systems in California. I was fortunate to lead a great team that gave birth to the modern B2B messaging era.

Although the bubble burst during my stint, I was able to lead the technology arm of a small Canadian startup developing advanced search and research technologies. I was given a lot of responsibility and a grand title as VP of Technology.

Strangely, at one point I was consulting for MIT in Cambridge. When I left, all student awards, their payments and calculation of whether or not they had attained their degree went through my code. As a fairly junior consultant I was selected to code these vital plums managing many millions of dollars annually and I've taken great pride in it ever since.

   Current Interests
I'm generally interested in independent consulting. If you are on the prowl for some enterprise quality software development via a part time telecommuting relationship, then drop me a line. I choose to live in city that isn't large enough to support much of a local computing industry and this is how I deal with it.

The latest thing on my plate is the Grokodile Blog Directory. I have been doing a big of blogging here and there and decided to get into the directory business once again. Go ahead, add your North American blog or site now.

In a totally different direction, to combat the sedentary lifestyle that being a keyboard jockey entails, I've taken up powerlifting. I will not be in any contests, but I work on squats, deadlifts and bench presses diligently. Anyhow, dropping the high stress work and consistently working out has me fifty pounds lighter. I'm in good shape again and that is really what it is all about.

I don't often have time, but when I do I like to create music. You won't see my music topping the charts, but if you like techno a few of my tracks are okay. Of course it is all done on the computer using appropriate software. If you are brave go ahead and listen to some of it. If you like techno, try the track Tranquility, I've gotten a few comments on it. If you have a powered subwoofer on your PC you may get some extra bass though.
